Part P of the Building Regulations (introduced in 2005) applies to all electrical installation work carried out in dwellings.  The best way to ensure compliance is to engage a registered "Competent Person" to do the work for you.  Dave is NO LONGER registered under ELECSA's Competent Person Scheme.  Visit ELECSA for more information.
